Caging the Swarm is a 2023/2024 performance produced by the Cy-Fair High School Band. They needed to bring their show logo to life and create an illustration that compliments for the show shirts.

Creative Direction
The client provided very clear direction on their vision for the show's logo and shirt design. The overall idea was butterflies and moths for visuals, along with utilizing earthy colors that can contrast.
The initial idea was to use the costume colors, but there was flexibility. The client wanted something very close to their logo idea, but different.
DRAFTING | Starting with a new and more stylized version on the Client's idea, I created three concept ideas, allowing them to grow from each-other. Then sampled some colors, pulling from butterfly standard colors which come to the average mind first and adjusting the shades.
